WhatIsMyIP is a free diagnostic tool provided by binsec.tools that identifies the public IP address currently used by your connection and displays additional routing information. It serves as a fast check to verify external connectivity and routing.
The tool shows your public IPv4 and – if available – IPv6 address, along with additional details such as:
- tracreoute
- reverse DNS record
- ASN and routing information
- indicators whether the connection originates from a datacenter, VPN, or hosting provider
In addition to using the web interface in a browser, WhatIsMyIP can be queried directly from the command line using tools like curl or wget.
The endpoint returns a compact JSON response, making it suitable for scripts, automation, and monitoring environments.
